GAINESVILLE, Ga. – J. Timothy Fulenwider, MD, FACS; J. Clifton Hastings, III, MD, FACS; and the staff at Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) Surgical Associates Vascular Center welcome Thomas A. Abbruzzese, MD, FACS, to the practice.
Dr. Abbruzzese received his medical degree from Stanford University School of Medicine and completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School in Boston, where he served as chief resident. He completed his fellowship in vascular surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is a member of the American Medical Association, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Abbruzzese is certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery, vascular surgery and surgical critical care.
NGPG Surgical Associates Vascular Center’s board certified vascular surgeons specialize in the treatment of diseases of the vascular system (arteries and veins) through various surgical and nonsurgical techniques. They offer expertise in a wide range of surgical specialties including abdominal aortic aneurysm, carotid artery disease, thoracic aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial disease (PAD), lung cancer and varicose veins (including Veinwave, a revolutionary treatment process where high-frequency energy is applied to spider veins and telangiectasia, which causes vein walls to collapse and disappear from the skin).
