New Urgent Care Center Opens in Cleveland

January 07, 2015

CLEVELAND, Ga. – People in Cleveland and surrounding communities no longer have to drive outside White County for urgent treatment of minor injuries or illness, especially after regular business hours.

A new Urgent Care center is open seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., inside the same building as Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) Cleveland at 2578 Helen Highway.  The center’s staff includes Barbara Camp, MD, a board certified emergency medicine physician who has practiced in North Georgia for more than 15 years – including more than a decade in White County.

“The people of White County have wanted and needed this type of medical care for many years, and I’m excited to be a part of this new service,” says Dr. Camp.  “We offer x-rays, a procedure room, a comprehensive lab, and quick and convenient service.”

No appointment is necessary, and most major insurance plans are accepted.  Urgent Care Cleveland accepts patients six months and older and provides access to a referral network of more than 500 physicians if specialty care is needed.  Call 706-348-4280 or visit for more information.

Urgent Care Cleveland is an affiliate of Northeast Georgia Health System and directly connected to Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Georgia’s #1 Hospital (CareChex®) and one of the nation’s 100 Top Hospitals (Truven Health Analytics®).  Learn more at
