NGPG Cleveland Announces Practice Changes

CLEVELAND, Ga.- Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) Cleveland announces that long time family physician Becky Loomis, MD, will be leaving the practice effective November 4.

“Dr. Loomis has been with NGPG Cleveland for more than a decade,” says Katrina Bailey, administrative director for NGPG. “Dr. Loomis will be transferring to our Urgent Care Braselton facility located at Medical Plaza 1 in Braselton. Although she will still remain within the NGPG system, her presence will be greatly missed here in Cleveland.“

NGPG Cleveland is in the process of recruiting two additional physicians to join Stacey Parker, MD; James Murphey, MD; and Rebecca Durham, DNP, APRN-BC. To assist during this time of transition, Wylie Newton, MD, a family medicine physician with NGPG Gainesville, will be providing care at NGPG Cleveland two days a week. Dr. Newton received his medical degree from the University of South Alabama in Mobile Al., and completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Alabama-Birmingham. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Family Practitioners. Dr. Newton is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
