NGPG First in Hall County to Offer a New Laser Treatment for Instant Fat Reduction and Body Shaping

August 26, 2013

Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) Thompson Bridge is proud to now offer i-Lipo, a new fat-reduction and body shaping treatment. Katie Dudas, MD, and Christy Wagner, MD, are now accepting patients for this painless, quick and easy procedure.

i-Lipo is an FDA-cleared fat reduction and body shaping device that uses low level laser energy to painlessly stimulate the body into naturally shrinking targeted fat deposits. Patients report an 8-10 percent reduction in circumference after a typical course of eight treatments.

“We are really excited to be able to offer this non-surgical technique for fat reduction to the patients in our community,” says Dr. Dudas. “The new i-Lipo treatment provides patients immediate results with no pain, scarring or recovery time.”

i-Lipo is applicable to anyone that desires to lose fat in stubborn areas such as arms, legs, thighs, buttocks, abdomen, love handles, under the chin and male chest area. The process is particularly appealing to those who want to avoid an invasive and costly procedure such as liposuction.

The painless treatments last just 20 minutes, during which a low-level laser energy targets fat stored in adipose cells, facilitating the release of fatty acids. These molecules are then transported around the body to be “burned off” during a brief period of post-treatment exercise.

“Total body reshaping can be achieved in as little as four weeks, and results are easily maintained by adhering to basic guidelines for diet and exercise,” says Dr.Wagner.  “New technologies in fat-reduction treatments, like i-Lipo, are changing the way many patients fight weight gain. For many, i-Lipo is a ‘jump-start’ into a healthier lifestyle.”

NGPG Thompson Bridge is the only practice in Hall County to offer this new, non-surgical treatment.
