Patients seeking neurological care in northeast Georgia now have access to more specialists than ever before. Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) Neurology and Neurosurgery practices continue to add additional physicians to their growing teams.
“We are excited to continue expanding our comprehensive Neuroscience service line through specialty program development,” said Michael Glanzman, executive director of Neurosciences at Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS). “We recently added a new neurologist, Dr. O’Reggio, and an endovascular neurosurgeon, Dr. Buster, to our team. These two physicians will improve access to care for some of our most complex and hard-to-find specialties.”
Dr. Abigail O’Reggio is a board-certified neurologist who specializes in movement disorders. She completed medical school at the University of South Florida and completed her residency in neurology and fellowship in movement disorders at the University of North Carolina Hospitals in Chapel Hill. Dr. O’Reggio will see patients at NGHS’ Medical Plaza in Buford on South Lee Street.
“I’m excited to provide neurological care to patients in Buford,” said Dr. O’Reggio. “I’m especially interested in the treatment of Parkinson’s disease and essential tremor as well as using deep brain stimulation and focused ultrasound guided by magnetic resonance to treat a variety of movement disorders.”
Dr. Bryan Buster is a board-certified neurosurgeon who completed medical school at the University of Oklahoma. He completed his residency in neurosurgery and fellowship in neuroendovascular and cerebrovascular surgery at Emory University in Atlanta. Dr. Buster will see patients at Medical Plaza 1 on Jesse Jewell Parkway in Gainesville.
“I’m looking forward to serving patients in Northeast Georgia,” said Dr. Buster. “As an endovascular neurosurgeon, I provide treatment from inside blood vessels using catheters, leading to faster recovery time and fewer complications for high-risk patients.”
