NGPG expanding access to care before move to new medical plaza in Bethlehem

Northeast Georgia Health System (NGHS) is continuing to invest in Winder, Bethlehem and the surrounding areas by adding providers to care for the community. Family Health Associates is a third-generation family medicine practice that was started by Edwin H. Etheridge, MD, and has served Winder since 1947. Providing care at the practice now is Garey Huff Jr., MD, Audrey Huff, MD, and Nazifa Cultarevic, FNP – all of whom will soon be moving to the new Medical Plaza NGHS is building in Bethlehem. Before that move, though, Family Health Associates – called Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) Family Health Associates – is expanding access to care by bringing on a new provider in Renee Spencer, FNP, to provide care alongside Dr. Audrey Huff.

Renee Spencer, FNP

“This is a practice with a lot of history and a core group of providers that this community trusts,” Spencer said. “It’s an honor to join them in caring for this area – especially as it continues to grow.”

Spencer earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and went on to earn her master’s degree in nursing from the University of Alabama – although she’s a diehard University of Georgia fan. She worked as a registered nurse for 16 years in labor and delivery, as well as plastic surgery, before becoming a nurse practitioner.

When she’s not at work, Spencer enjoys spending time with her husband and five children. Whenever she finds the free time, she also likes to travel – especially to places like Italy. She enjoys going to football games and baseball games and says she’ll never pass up an opportunity to see live music.

NGPG Family Health Associates is open Monday – Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 63 West Candler Street in Winder. Call 770-848-9300 to schedule an appointment or visit ngpg.org/spencer to learn more.

In July, NGPG Family Health Associates will begin seeing patients inside a new Medical Plaza in Bethlehem at 990 Loganville Highway. The new medical plaza will not only offer family medicine services, but urgent care, cardiology, OB/GYN, sports medicine, orthopedic surgery and general surgery.
