Leah Goodson-Gerami, DO, has always thought about legacy, inspired by the impact her father made as a family medicine physician in their community. It’s something she hopes to do as well, as she joins Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) OB-GYN at Medical Plaza 2 in Dawsonville.
“Watching my father make a positive impact in our community led me to follow in his footsteps and pursue a career in medicine,” said Dr. Goodson-Gerami, a Cumming, Georgia, native. “I am honored to continue this legacy by providing care to the women of Dawsonville and surrounding areas.”
Dr. Goodson-Gerami earned her medical degree from the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in Pikeville, Kentucky. Following her graduation, she completed her residency at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, New York.
When she’s not at work, Dr. Goodson-Gerami enjoys cooking Persian food with her husband and is an advocate for animal rescue, especially dogs.
