For more than two decades, Carla Price, MD, has cared for families across northeast Georgia, and now she’s bringing that same expertise to Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) Hamilton Mill to continue serving the community she loves.

“I’ve cared for families in this area for pretty much all of my career,” Dr. Price said. “I love building lasting relationships with my neighbors and walking with them through every stage of life, so joining NGPG Hamilton Mill was an easy choice.”

Dr. Price earned her medical degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, after earning her undergraduate degree from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. She went on to complete her family medicine residency at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia, before landing in northeast Georgia, where she joined a well-established primary care clinic in Winder in 2002. She worked there for 20 years before opening and growing a new clinic in Jefferson.

Dr. Price’s love of medicine started early, on her family’s farm in Fairmont, West Virginia. She would help her grandfather tend to sick cows as a child, acting as a veterinarian and doing research to help out as much as she could.

Today, Dr. Price lives on an 8-acre horse farm in Jefferson with her three daughters, where she rides horses and raises chickens. She also enjoys beekeeping, as well as being at the beach with her fiancé and spending time with family.

NGPG Hamilton Mill is open Monday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The office is located at 3575 Braselton Highway in Dacula. Call 770-848-5300 to schedule an appointment or visit ngpg.org/price to learn more.
