Shaena Blevins, MD

Physician of the Month

Dr. Shaena Blevins is a provider with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group specializing in Neurology. She earned her medical degree from Emory University and is board certified in Neurology. Dr. Blevins has been instrumental in the success of the Neurology program. She’s a skilled physician, but is thoughtful, kind and compassionate, too. She’s always going above and beyond to make sure her patients are taken care of. She’s not just good to her patients, though. She’s always a joy to work with and looks out for her coworkers. She always has their best interest in mind and is there for them when they need her — answering questions and messages whenever they come up. She truly displays NGHS’ core values every day.

Rosmary Duval, PA

Advanced Practice Provider of the Month

Rosmary Duval is a provider with Northeast Georgia Physicians Group specializing in Urology. Rosmary obtained her clinical education from Marietta College and is a board-certified Physician Assistant. Rosemary always puts the needs of her patients first. She gives them her direct number so she can be there when they need her as they work together toward their goal. She does that with her staff, too. She involves everyone in processes and keeps her team close, especially when they need training or a little help along the way. She even worked to create a “cheat sheet” for all the new nurses who come on board. She’s an essential part of the team.

Lane Smith, LPN

Employee of the Month

Lane is always looking for ways she can help those around her. She’s worked diligently with everyone to meet verification and competency requirements. She’s always setting goals – and meeting them – for herself and the department. She’s constantly going above and beyond, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. She ran and organized the outpatient sick clinic, which included testing, following up with positive patients and administering Regeneron when appropriate. Her “can-do” attitude is infectious and makes everyone around her better.
