Bhasker Patel, MD

Physician of the Month

Dr. Bhasker Patel has been with the organization for more that 35 years. He is caring, compassionate, and provides excellent patient care.  He is beloved by his patients, staff and other providers in the clinic. He is also the director for the local dialysis clinic where he cares for 65 patients beyond his regular duties. He has been a tremendous resource for the other providers in Toccoa. He has taught them to be able to recognize and treat their patient’s kidney related conditions at early onset. He is always available for questions and consults. Dr. Patel truly loves taking care of patients and it shows! He even helped recruit his replacement as he is about to retire.

Jennifer Puckett, PA
NGPG Infectious Disease

Advanced Practice Provider of the Month

Jennifer is a calm presence that you can always count on for help! She is a pillar of strength, poise and grace. She has been a tremendous asset to the Infectious Disease team, as well as NGPG Inpatient Medicine for her assistance with complex patient care. We love to see her rounding the corner when our patients are needing help! Her kindness was recently highlighted as a Fox 5 story when one of her patients shared the connection she made with Jennifer during her hospitalization with COVID-19.

Emily Hendrick, MOA
NGPG Urgent Care

Employee of the Month

Emily Hendrick was diagnosed with breast cancer last year. As if COVID-19 wasn’t a rough journey for all of us in the medical field, she has also been on her own personal health journey. Despite everything, Emily still worked her 12 hour shifts and never let her diagnosis get her down. She remained her cheerful respectful self and continued to show compassion to every patient. After starting chemo, she kept going even though she didn’t feel her best and never let that stop her from performing her job and making sure her patients were taken care of. Emily embodies every aspect of what NGPG asks for from an employee and more. She has undergone two surgeries and is now CANCER FREE! She has encouraged me to be a better person and has shown me that no matter what the obstacle may be, faith can move mountains! She is truly one of the most selfless individuals I have ever met!
