You can now schedule a primary care appointment and be seen within just a few days at Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) Flowery Branch, which now has more space after moving into Northeast Georgia Health System’s newest medical office building, Medical Plaza 1.
The family medicine practice, which has been a constant in Flowery Branch for 25 years, celebrated its first day in the new location on June 2 with a coffee trailer for patients to enjoy. The 14,000-square-foot building at 5678 Phil Niekro Boulevard, near Exit 12 off I-985, sees patients 6 years old and up.
“We are thrilled with this new space,” said Paul Cerny, MD, a longtime physician at NGPG Flowery Branch. “Our community deserves this place, and I know our patients are already seeing the benefits of having such a beautiful space to come for doctors’ visits.”
The practice held a grand opening celebration on May 31. There were games, food, a custom hat bar and self-guided tours that attracted a few hundred people. About a dozen people scheduled appointments during the grand opening after visiting with some of the newer physicians to the practice.
“I was really impressed by the turn out, but not surprised at the support,” said Erik Rodriguez, MD. “I started working here back in October and I’ve already met so many incredible people. This grand opening celebration gave me a chance to meet even more.”
“I think patients are enjoying the new, larger, brighter waiting room, as well as all of the new fixtures throughout the building,” said Christian Baumgartner, MD. “The exam rooms are larger, the bathrooms are nicer, the lab is easier to get to. It’s such a great place for our patients to come visit.”
NGPG Flowery Branch is currently accepting new patients. The practice is open Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. To book an appointment online visit ngpg.org/flowery-branch or call 770-848-9160.
