NGPG adds three new primary care doctors to care for you in Gainesville

The more Gainesville grows, it can be hard to get an appointment with a primary care doctor – and that’s why Northeast Georgia Physicians Group (NGPG) has added three new physicians to its family medicine practice at Medical Park 2 on Jesse Jewell Parkway.

Jeffrey Trawick, DO, earned his medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Georgia, and completed his family medicine residency at Danville Regional Medical Center in Virginia. Before going into medicine, he spent nearly two decades working as a paramedic, firefighter and information technologist. When he’s not at work, he enjoys woodworking, reading, watching baseball and football and performing Christian music.

“I’m excited to join this practice, as it’s continued to grow and serve such a big part of this community,” Dr. Trawick said. “This practice really feels like a family, and I’m happy to bring patients into that.”

Jacinta Tran, MD, earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, West Indies, and completed her family medicine residency at Emory Warner Robins. She spent five years as an urgent care physician at Houston Healthcare Med-Stop before returning to Emory Hospital Warner Robins as a faculty physician. Outside of work, Dr. Tran stays active in her community through the Vietnamese American Healthcare Professionals Association of Georgia and volunteers at her church’s annual health fair.

“I really enjoy family medicine because I get to build a long-lasting relationship with my patients,” Dr. Tran said. “I get to follow patients on their healthcare journey and help them at every step along the way.”

Irene Lin, MD, earned her medical degree from Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton, Pennsylvania, and completed her residency training at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. When she’s not at work, she likes to play board and tabletop games, bake and read and write poetry.

“This practice is so unique because we get to collaborate with the physician residents here,” Dr. Lin said. “That means there’s more eyes on each patient’s care, and that benefits everyone.”

NGPG Family Medicine is open Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is located inside Medical Park 2 at 1439 Jesse Jewell Parkway, Suite 102, in Gainesville. Call 770-219-9445 to schedule an appointment or visit ngpg.org/MP2 to learn more.
