Our medication-assisted treatment (MAT) clinic at Northeast Georgia Physicians Group offers patients the multidisciplinary care they need to tackle alcohol use disorder (AUD) and opioid use disorder (OUD). With comprehensive care from our expert care team, patients will receive counseling and behavioral therapies along with support from physicians to manage medication. This kind of treatment plan ensures patients can manage their daily life while treating their addiction.
The main purpose of the MAT clinic is to help patients make a full recovery from alcohol abuse and substance abuse. While a part of our clinic, medication can be prescribed and administered in an outpatient setting.
Common prescription medications used for treatment include:
- Buprenorphine (Suboxone), oral and injectable
- Naltrexone (Vivitrol)
These prescription medications are commonly used and FDA-approved to treat AUD and OUD. Opioids include heroin, fentanyl and certain prescription painkillers and pain relievers that contain opiates.
If our MAT clinic could help you, please call us at 770-219-9445 today. You do not have to be a patient at NGPG and you do not need a referral. We accept patients 13+ years old and specialize in treating pregnant women.
