What We Do
Our team offers a variety of innovative procedures that are changing the experience of surgery for patients. Common procedures include:
Robotic Surgery
Our team of gynecologists carefully evaluates each condition and develops treatment plans tailored to every patient. Robotic surgery is not the best treatment option for all patients and will be recommended case by case. NGPG OB/GYN is committed to providing the most advanced, personalized surgical care for women experiencing gynecologic issues.
Compared to open abdominal surgery, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, including robotic-assisted surgery is associated with:
- Faster recovery
- Reduced hospital stay
- Fewer complications
- Enhanced precision
- Less pain
- Smaller incisions
- Minimal scarring
- Lower risk of infection
Hysterectomy (Uterus Removal)
A hysterectomy is a gynecological surgery to remove the uterus. In some cases, your doctor will also remove the ovaries, fallopian tubes and cervix as well. After a hysterectomy, you will no longer have a menstrual period and will be unable to get pregnant.

Myomectomy (Fibroid Removal)
A myomectomy is the surgical removal of uterine fibroids – noncancerous growths in the uterus. During a myomectomy, your doctor will remove your fibroids and leave the uterus intact. This procedure can be done with minimally invasive surgery such tools like a laparoscope.
Acessa Procedure (Fibroid Treatment)
Acessa is a minimally invasive, laparoscopic procedure that uses heat from targeted radiofrequency energy to soften and shrink uterine fibroids. During an Acessa procedure, radiofrequency is targeted to the fibroid itself, leaving healthy uterine tissue untouched, which allows for a quicker recovery.

Gynecologic Cancer Resection
To treat your case of gynecologic cancer, your surgeon may perform a surgical removal of any malignant tumors or tissues in the pelvic area. These surgeries can be open, laparoscopic or robotic depending on the location and size of the tumor.

Endometriosis Resection
Endometriosis resection is a gynecologic surgery where your doctor will remove all visible growths in the pelvis while leaving the uterus and surrounding organs in place. This procedure can either involve ablation or complete removal of the endometriosis implants in the endometrial lining.

Ovarian Cyst Removal
Ovarian cysts that are large in size, cause pain or are suspected to be cancerous will likely require surgical intervention. Your surgeon may remove any cysts from both or just one of your ovaries using minimally invasive or open surgery depending on your specific case.
Diagnostic Laparoscopy
If you are struggling with chronic pelvic pain or infertility, your provider may recommend a laparoscopic procedure to diagnose your issue. This procedure involves using a thin tube with a light and camera through a small incision to let your surgeon view and record any abnormalities in the uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries.
Laparoscopic Sterilization
This procedure involves the clamping or blocking of the fallopian tubes to seal them. A laparoscopic tubal ligation is used to prevent a woman from getting pregnant, commonly referred to as “getting the tubes tied.”
Hysteroscopy & Polypectomy
This minimally invasive procedure involves the insertion of a flexible tube (hysteroscope) into the uterus to view and remove uterine polyps (polypectomy). Hysteroscopy and polypectomy are usually recommended for women struggling with abnormal bleeding or difficulty conceiving as a result of uterine polyps.
Dilation & Curettage (D&C)
This minimally invasive procedure involves the removal of tissue from the uterus. A D&C is used for a variety of purposes including diagnosing and treating heavy bleeding or to clear the uterine lining after a miscarriage.
Endometrial Ablation
An endometrial ablation is a procedure that involves destroying a thin layer of the lining of the uterus (endometrium) to help reduce abnormal or heavy menstrual bleeding. During this procedure, a urogynecologist uses a laser, heat, electricity, microwave energy, or cold to destroy (or ablate) the uterine lining. Because it removes the lining, future pregnancy is dangerous, so this treatment option is usually paired with a long-lasting or permanent form of birth control.
Minimally Invasive Vaginal Surgery
NGPG OB/GYN surgeons frequently perform vaginal access minimally invasive techniques to repair the vagina or reproductive organs. This technique does not require traditional surgical incisions, leading to less scarring and faster recovery times.
