Inpatient Medicine
Lisa Jones is part of the NGPG Inpatient Medicine team. Last year she started working at our Laurelwood facility doing medical consults and became an integral part of the team right away. Her collaboration with case management, psychiatry services and nursing has been tremendous. She advocates strongly for her patients to make sure they have primary care providers, specialists and appropriate follow up. She goes above and beyond for her patients. One example – she arranged a dentist appointment for a patient suffering from a tooth abscess. We hear her praises daily! The visits to our ED and readmissions have gone down significantly since Lisa has been working at Laurelwood.
Supriya Mannepalli, MD, CIC, MBA
Medical Director Infectious Disease
Dr. Supriya Mannepalli serves as our NGPG Medical Director for Infectious Diseases. She is also the NGHS Chair for Infection Prevention and Control Committee and the Antimicrobial Stewardship Committee. Her “Passion for Excellence,” high energy to do the right things for our patients and drive to always do better are inspiring. She has been instrumental in our COVID-19 response as a health system, which has been recognized in many settings across the country.
Marshall Poole, CPRP
Senior Physician Recruiter
Marshall Poole is an advocate for providers and our system. He works very hard to bring critically needed provider talent to our community. Since 2008, he has recruited 329 providers to the organization and has signed 20 new providers to NGPG just since October. He has also been instrumental in rebuilding our Psychiatry program from the ground up over the past two years. Marshall is involved on a national stage within the Physician Recruitment Professional Association and serves as the President of the Southern Conference of the Association for Advancing Provider and Physician Recruitment (AAPPR).
