Meet Our Athletic Trainers

Athletic trainers help give peace of mind to parents, students and school staff on and off the athletic fields – they quickly and expertly assess injuries, stabilize injured students and provide life-saving measures.

Hailey Lewis

Hailey is the head athletic trainer for Truett McConnell University. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University of Georgia and a Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Science with a specialty in Corrective Exercise. Hailey has been practicing as a certified athletic trainer since 2014 and is NASE certified, as well as CPR/First-Aid from the American Heart Association.

Dan Click

Dan has been an athletic trainer since 1999 after he received his bachelor’s degree in Biology with an emphasis in Sports Medicine from North Adams State College of Liberal Arts and his master’s in Exercise Science with a concentration in Human Performance from Southern Connecticut State University. He is American Heart Association certified in CPR and First-Aid.

Emily Crampton

Emily earned her bachelor of science degree in athletic training from the University of North Georgia and has been working as a certified athletic trainer since July 2019. She holds an American Heart Association certification in CPR, AED, and first aid.

Brandon Crosby

Brandon Crosby has a bachelor of science degree in exercise science from Georgia Gwinnett College and a master of science degree in athletic training from the University of North Georgia, where he graduated in 2020. He is certified through the American Heart Association as a BLS Instructor for CPR and First Aid.

Chris Dearwent

Chris is the director of NGPG’s Athletic Training Program. He has a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training Education from North Georgia College and State University and a master’s degree in Sports Medicine from Georgia State University. He has been an athletic trainer since 2009 and is American Heart Association certified in CPR and First-Aid.

Amy Evans

Amy has been an athletic trainer since 2008 after she received his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Albion College and her master’s in Athletic Training from West Virginia University. She is American Heart Association certified in CPR and First-Aid.

Rick Flateau

Rick has been an athletic trainer since 1998 after he received his bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of West Alabama and his master’s in Sports Medicine from Georgia State University. He is American Heart Association certified in CPR and First-Aid.

Jocelyn Glenn

Jocelyn received her bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Georgia, and received her Master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of North Georgia. She has been a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association, the Southeast Athletic Trainers Association and the Georgia Athletic Trainers Association since 1999. She is American Heart Association certified in CPR and First-Aid.

Caroline Hicks

Caroline has a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from the University or North Georgia where she graduated in 2016. She is American Heart Association certified in CPR, First Aid and AED.

Lauren Johnson

Lauren is a certified Athletic Trainer and earned her bachelor of science degree in Athletic Training from Georgia Southern University in 2018. Additionally, she is certified in CPR/AED and First Aid through the American Heart Association.

Jessica Lord

Jessica is a certified athletic trainer and holds a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from North Georgia College and State University and a master’s in Physical Education. She has worked as an athletic trainer since 2011 and is American Heart Association certified in CPR and First-Aid.

Amanda Maxfield

Amanda has a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and a Master of Science degree in athletic training from the University of North Georgia, where she graduated in 2020. She is certified by the American Heart Association in CPR and First Aid. Additionally, she holds a USA certification of Youth Mental Health First Aid.

Jay Nierenhausen

Jay has 13 years experience as an athletic trainer with a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and a master’s in Education from North Georgia College and State University. Jay is board certified and American Heart Association certified in CPR and First-Aid.

Emily Paul

Emily is a certified Athletic Trainer and has her bachelor of science degree in athletic training from the University of Georgia and a master of science degree from Georgia Southern University. She has worked as an athletic trainer since 2013 and is American Heart Association certified in CPR and First-Aid.

Kelly Podsen

Kelly is a certified athletic trainer. She has a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from Kent State and a master’s in in Physical Education from North Georgia College and State University. She has worked as an athletic trainer since 2009 and is American Heart Association certified in CPR and First-Aid.

Brianna Pruitt

“Brianna is a certified athletic trainer and holds a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of North Georgia where she graduated in 2019. She is certified by the American Heart Association in AED and CPR, as well as, holding a USA certification of Youth Mental Health First Aid.

Katie Stovall

Katie has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Georgia where she graduated in 2014, and a master of science degree in exercise science and wellness from Liberty University. She is a certified athletic trainer and American Heart Association certified in CPR, First Aid and AED.

Ariauna Washington

Ariauna has a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and a master’s degree in Health and Physical Education from the University of North Georgia. She has been a certified athletic trainer since 2019 and is also certified by the American Heart Association in CPR and First Aid. Additionally, she holds a USA certification of Youth Mental Health First Aid.

Erin Wright

Erin has been an athletic trainer since 2011. She has a bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from North Georgia College and State University and a master’s in Science and Health from the Citadel. Erin is a certified athletic trainer and is American Heart Association certified in CPR and First-Aid.
